What is the difference between white and black replacement files?

1. The abrasive of the white files consists of aluminum oxide, which makes them more malleable, softer and more abrasion-resistant. Black files are made of silicon carbide, which makes them harder, but also more brittle.
2. White files have a fine grit and a rounded shape, so they do not damage the nail plate. Black files have a sharp grit that sharpens itself as you file.
3. White files have a stearate coating that prevents organic dust from clogging the coating, while black files do not have a coating.
4. White files are more suitable for filing dry nails, while black files are good for filing wet nails.
